What TMS does

Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) uses short patterns of magnetic pulses to non-invasively modulate activity in specific brain regions — those involved in drive, calm, focus, and presence. Instead of targeting thoughts or behavior, it shifts the underlying neural patterns that shape how they show up.

This works because your brain is a network of electrical circuits that learns through repetition — something you know intuitively from any time you've learned a new skill. TMS uses repeated magnetic pulses to re-train the circuits behind your goals.

Why it works in one day

When TMS was first FDA-cleared in 2008, the protocol ran as a daily round of stimulation for six weeks — cumbersome and hard to access.

We now deliver all of those rounds over a single workday. That's enough repetition, condensed, to meaningfully shift your baseline — a shift that holds 6–8 weeks for most people. From there, you can keep reinforcing it through shorter ongoing sessions in our Studio model or other practices in your life.

How we personalize it

When you onboard to Pharia, we quickly map your mind's current state and your goals: we analyze your self-narrative patterns, capture clinically-validated measures, and layer in objective data like sleep and HRV.

Then you meet with an expert clinician to choose the right protocol — they set the target, dosage, and timing based on the evidence and what you need. On the day, the TMS machine is calibrated to your individual biology to deliver the right dose.
